Leadership:

Horace C. White, Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Horace C. White, Harmani`s energetic and innovative CIO, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Education from the University of Maryland University College. Mr. White, who also served with the U.S. Department of the Navy, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of the Air Force, Sony Corporation Human Capital Group (SVIC), and The American School in Japan (ASIJ), is currently a member of the prestigious University of Maryland University College, Master’s of Distance Education programme, and a certified U.S. educator of Business Education and Computer Technology.

Mr. White has 20 years of executive-level management experience in the IT and educational industries. In addition to his duties at Harmani, Mr. White serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Harmani Associates International, LLC, and co-founder of NUDU Products.

Advisors:

Motoko Matsubara, International Communications & Strategy Advisor

Motoko Matsubara received her B.A. degree in law from Chou University, Japan. Ms. Matsubara is an expert in Japanese language and culture, and has translated over 500 millions words from English to Japanese and Japanese to English over a 2-year period.

Dr. Robert M. Clyne, Ivy League Academic Studies Advisor

Robert Clyne received his B.A. at Stanford University and his Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Yale. He conducted his dissertation research on the Yoruba God of War, Ogun, in Southwestern Nigeria. He has lived in Nigeria, Brazil, Nicaragua, Honduras, Greece, and Japan. His specialty is Symbolic Anthropology, African religion and Culture, and African-American Art and Culture.

Prof. Thaiia Reynolds, Marketing & Media Advisor

Thaiia Reynolds received her Masters of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Jones International University and a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Marketing/General Strategic Management from Temple University. Ms. Reynolds has worked for MTV, VH1, BBDO Worldwide, Dolbin Bolga Associates, American Advertising Federation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the NCA, Philadelphia Magazine, and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Strayer University.

Vickie Salvo, Administrative Executive Supervisor and Advisor

Ms. Vickie M. Salvo, Harmani’s Lead Executive Secretary & Tutor, received her AS degrees in Accounting and in Business Administration in 2006 from Southern New Hampshire University (Online). She has just finished her last course for her Bachelor’s in Accounting & Finance (to be awarded Jan 2008), also from SNHU. As an old high-school & college tutor and retail store supervisor and a current entrepreneur, website designer, and distance education student herself, Ms. Salvo brings with her an advanced knowledge of and experience in business and educational practices (both online and in person). Ms. Salvo is also an International Honor Society inductee, has superior English Writing skills to share, and co-authored Harmani’s Circle1 ESL Workbook.

Lee Jay Walker, International Relations Advisor


Lee Jay Walker received his Masters degree from the University of London (London School of Economics) and Bachelor's degree from Nottingham Trent University. Prior to co-founding the Modern Tokyo Times, Mr. Walker served as an international relations consultant and geopolitical analyst. Mr. Walker has also worked as an editor-in-chief and/or international correspondent for The Seoul Times, Global Security News, Faith Freedom, and other media outlets worldwide.
