Welcome to The MOB!
What do you think about the Hunger Games? Not the book, the actual event?
I think that the Hunger Games are really scary. I would be really, really scared if I was chosen to go in it. Also, I think it is really mean and stupid that they make kids kill each other and fight and people watch it.
If your younger sister were "chosen" , could you imagine volunteering to take her place?
So if you were one of the participants in the Hunger Games who did not make it, what would you have done differently to survive?
Hi,
This is Snowflake,
I'm gonna read the book soon,
I hope I have it at school.
I miss ASIJ so so so much,
So how was the book?
I read the summary first (my thoughts):
The giver: (BTW: I don't have a sister, so if I did...) I couldn't imagine volunteering to take my younger sisters place, but if I loved her, I would take her place willingly because I wouldn't be able to live without someone I love.
The giver: What would I do differently: I would probably train heavily and strike a deal with the winner. Saying that both of us won't win and pretend to fight each other.
I agree with soccergirl- It's freaky, scary and just inhuman (just learned how to use that word
) to make KIDS fight each other to their death.
It's like the roman empire and gladiators. Gladiators had to kill each other to survive or kill animals to survive.
It's just aweful to what they make kids do in the book...
I am so excited to read this
I read it and I want to read catching fire...
Okay...
I read it and I have questions...
Who do you think she'll choose?
Does she still love Petra, but not inlove with him type thing?
Was Petra inlove with her forever?
Do you think Petra and Katniss would tell their friends and family that the relationship was a fraud or would that be too dangerous?
What is your favorite character? Mine is Rue because she's so sweet, nice and smart.
What is your favorite scene? Mine is when Peeta gave the burned bread to Katniss because he's a kind guy and how Katniss never forgot that.
Also, my second favorite scene is when Katniss took her sister's place in the hunger games because that means Katniss loves her sister that she'll risk her life for her. Would you do that for anyone?
Um, Okay, I think I'm talking to myself,
So, did anyone read Catching fire?
It's really interesting, especially at the end.....
where is every1?
